Dance for Young People

Ludus Dance believes in creating opportunities for young people.

Ludus Dance specialises in working with and for young people to encourage the next generation of dancers. We aim to give young people the support, encouragement and experience they need to further their dance and personal development.

Each year, we provide the opportunity for talented young dancers, aged 14 to 25, to audition for the North West's flagship Ludus Youth Dance Company . For dance groups across the county whose members are between 11 and 19 years old, we run the Lancashire Youth Dance Festival with the Dukes, Lancaster. Both of these initiatives are created for young dancers to develop their performance skills and dance technique, and to enjoy sharing experiences with their peers.

We believe it's important for young people to have a voice and our Ludus Dance Young Peoples' Forum is for any young person who is interested in supporting and helping to shape the future of Ludus Dance in Lancaster and across Lancashire.

Our dance classes for young people don't just teach dance and performance, for anyone who wishes, they can help achieve the Arts Award too - as can our 'MAKE' choreography classes for students of GCSE, A-level or BTEC Dance..

Read more about how Ludus Dance can help with student placements too.

If you'd like to have some fun creating your own choreography, have a go on our choreography tool.
