Ludus Dance helps break a dance world record!

Big Dance 2006 with the Arts Council and the BBC

On Saturday 22nd July 2006, Ludus Dance joined up with BBC Radio Lancashire and the Arts Council at the Blackpool Tower to take part in the world's biggest ever dance class

Across the whole of England, at exactly the same time thousands of people performed the same dance at exactly the same time!

Ludus Dance - Lancashire's Dance Captain!

Hannah RobertshawIt was a great honour for Ludus Dance to be selected as Lancashire's Dance Captain for the Big Dance Class. Participants at the Blackpool Tower were taught the Big Dance Class routine by Ludus Dance Artist, Hannah Robertshaw. The world recording breaking dance class took place at 12.30pm.

What was Big Dance?

On Saturday, 22 July 2006, a special BBC programme will attempt to break world records in dance, take a look at Big Dance events across England and include live coverage of a mass dance spectacular in Trafalgar Square, London with Bruce Forsyth and Zoe Ball.

Big Dance was a week-long, England-wide celebration of dance. Everyone was invited to take part in a huge range of fun and unusual dance events taking place throughout the country.
