Lancashire BIG Dance at Preston GuildBIG Dance is a national event aiming to get 5 million people dancing in the UK. On June 23rd as part of the Olympic Torch Relay, over 400 community dancers from Lancashire joined us for Lancashire BIG Dance at Preston Guild. Lancashire BIG Dance at Preston Guild presented guest performances from local groups and brought everyone together for one big mass dance to celebrate BIG Dance and the Olympic Torch relay. It was the premier of a special performance by 250 community members. The 250 participants performing in BIG Dance range in age from 6 – 86 and have been working with Ludus Dance and the Lancashire BIG Dance team to create an exciting new piece of dance. The Lancashire participants will also be joining 1000 other community members from across the North West as part of a special performance in Liverpool 1 on July 15th at 2.30pm.
