Dance Northwest
Ludus Dance is a partner in Dance Northwest, the National Dance Agency for the region. Other partners are Merseyside Dance Initiative, DiGM and Cheshire Dance
Dance Northwest is part of a national network of agencies, which exist to support,
promote and foster dance activity for all ages, abilities and cultures. The organisation comprises 4 Directors, (each from one of the 4 regional agencies), a Programme Manager and Administrator. DNW runs a professional programme for dance artists at all stages of their careers, which facilitates and supports the creation of new work and which supports career development. The projects include:
- Xposure! a triple bill tour of new work by dance artists commissioned
by Dance Northwest - Nexus an annual networking and exchange day for dance artists
- X-tra a series of career focused workshops for dance artists
- Exploratorium, a choreographic laboratory for professional dance
artists - Go See Go Be a bursary for Northwest artists to see work and
represent the region at events nationally and abroad - African People’s Dance programme; activity, performance and
participation throughout Greater Manchester and Merseyside, focusing
specifically on the traditional African and Caribbean dance forms
