"Since being here at Ludus I have performed in Trapped (2007 - 2008), ID:me (2008 - 2010) and Wigan Needs You (2010).

The new show 'Consequences' looks set to be a very exciting time for the Touring Team and I'm looking forward to working with three great choreographers."

I began attending ballet lessons at Rutleigh/Norris Ballet School when I was three years old. As I grew older I tried other styles alongside ballet including tap and jazz dance which I enjoyed greatly, but it was when I was eleven and joined Birmingham Youth Dance Company that I discovered my passion for contemporary dance.

I attended London Studio Centre where I completed a BA (Hons) in Theatre Dance and was able to keep the range of subjects I studied very varied, also receiving training in singing and drama to complement my dance and academic studies.

After graduation I worked as an Education Specialist with ACE dance & music after which I worked across the West Midlands as a freelance dance artist teaching in primary schools, secondary schools & universities as well as teaching Advanced adult dancers at Birmingham's DanceXchange.  Parallel to my teaching I was a founder member of Birmingham Dance Collective, with whom I performed & co-choreographed work for various arts & music festivals.

Memorable moments as a member of this collective were 'Twice Upon A Time' - a piece we performed on the streets of the city centre, and 'The Pink Wigs' - versions of which were performed at the 'Drop Beats Not Bombs' indoor music festival and 'new vibes 07' at The Patrick Centre.

My piece 'Read between the lies…' , choreographed on the DanceXchange Adult Performance Group was also performed at 'new vibes 07'. My interest in choreography has continued to grow. In 2008 I created a solo on fellow Ludus dancer Debbie Milner, entitled 'Release Me....'. This was performed at the Nuffield Theatre in Lancaster as part of Dance Cuts 2008. More recently, I created 'The Circus of the Everyday' for Ludus Youth Dance Company and this piece has been performed across the North West.
