International Touring

Ludus are experienced travellers. Over the years we have toured to

• Hong Kong
• Kosovo
• Colombia
• Portugal
• Australia
• Canada
• Germany
• Belgium
• Holland

and undertaken projects and youth dance exchanges with Bulgaria , Poland & Egypt.

As well as providing dance theatre performances, which are often adapted and translated to suit the receiving venue, we will work with our hosts on creating a comprehensive educational and outreach workshop programme. Our work is often show related yet can be adapted to suit your requirements.

We attempt to travel light to avoid any excess baggage charges.

We usually travel with 4 dancer/teachers, the artistic director and two stage technicians.

If a show contains text, we like to achieve a live stage translation. In advance, you will be sent the show-script and we would hope that you would find us a translator to work with. The artistic director will manage the rehearsals prior to the first performance.

We can offer;

• Mentoring and training schemes for professional artists who wish either to work with young people or wish to explore the making of issue-based work
• Issue based dance theatre performances
• Educational programmes in youth clubs, schools or for difficult to reach young people.
• Professional training for dance and performing arts students.
• Educational resource materials
• Advance preparation work with our community dance artists (1-2 people)

The majority of our work has been achieved with the British Council.
