Dance /Arts Officer
This entails working for a local authority or the Arts Council and involves mainly strategic planning, grant giving and monitoring dance activity in an area or region. Most people working in this area are graduates in arts or arts related courses, or may have been dancers themselves. It would be essential to have several years experience working for an arts organisation or company. Some people may have an MA in arts management, although this would not be essential as having plenty of experience would equal an MA qualification.
