Work Placements Requests

Placements are currently available from September 2008 onwards

Please note: we do get a lot of requests for work placement across all the various departments within Ludus. Typical areas of work placements we can offer are shown below:

• Community Dance Artist (Dance Development)
• Arts Admin (Dance Development & Touring)
• Dancer / Teacher (Dance Development and Touring)
• Internet / Web Development (Touring / Technical)
• Stage Management (Touring / Technical)

Placement Criteria

There are 3 main areas of placements that we can support

1. GCSE Placements
   These placements operate on a first come, first served basis and last up to one week. These slots book upto 6 months in advance. Apply in writing to Anna Daly.
2. College and University Students
   Flexible 1-2 weeks placements or regular days with the dept. To ensure suitability and a productive placement these are available through application. Please download the placement application form.
3. Professional Placements i.e. Graduates/Working Professionals
   Are arranged as appropriate on request. Graduates please download the application form. Professionals from other dance or arts companies contact Anna Daly for further information.

Please Read the Following:

• One key factor when you join us, is that you will have to be self motivated, versatile and commited
• We confirm placements at least a term in advance (3 months). So the earlier you apply the better!
• We can not support you financially or pay transport costs during your placement. However, if you don't drive you will be transported by members of the team to various sessions where appropriate.
• It is understood that you will be practically engaged in all the dance sessions on your placement. Placements are predominately about participation in the work we deliver so be prepared to jump, spin, roll and dance!!
